Biography And Filmography: A tiny, dark-haired sweetheart best recognized for the role of self-centered, loud-mouth Jackie Burkhart on “That '70s Show”, Mila Kunis cemented a successful career in show business before even graduating from high school. Born in the Ukraine, she also voices the character of Meg Griffin on the trendy FOX animated series “Family Guy” starring Seth MacFarlane as Peter Griffin and the talking dog Brian, Seth Green as Chris Griffin, Alex Borstein as Lois and Patrick Warburton as the wheelchair bound cop. She has also appeared in the films “Get Over It” (2001) with Kirsten Dunst, and “American Psycho II: All American Girl” (2002) with William Shatner.
Born Milena Markovna Kunis on Aug. 14, 1983 in Kiev, Ukraine, she moved to Los Angeles with her parents, Mark and Elvira and older brother, Mike, at the age of eight. After learning English from watching American TV shows, she enrolled in acting classes at Beverly Hills Studios while still attending Hubert Howe Bancroft Middle School in Los Angeles. Seen by a talent scout while performing in an ensemble acting showcase, she was soon cast in various television commercials including marketing campaigns for Barbie and Payless shoes. She had guest appearances on series TV shows including "The John Larroquette Show", "Hudson Street", "Baywatch", "Unhappily Ever After", "Walker, Texas Ranger", "7th Heaven", "Mad TV" and "Robot Chicken" Mila had to lie about her age to read for the "That 70’s Show" pilot, but she was hired in the career making role of Jackie Burkhart on the FOX television situation comedy while still attending high school. The role required her to be at least eighteen years old, when in fact she was still only fourteen at the time of her audition. Nevertheless, she was cast for the part of the loud and fast-talking Jackie, and worked on "That 70’s Show" while still attending Fairfax High School. Her character teamed up with fellow "That 70's Show" cast members Topher Grace as the young Eric Foreman, Ashton Kutcher as the idiotic Michael Kelso, Danny Masterson as burned out Steven Hyde, Wilmer Valderrama as the horny exchange student Fez, and Laura Prepon as the good girl Donna Pinciotti. The show struck a chord with not only younger viewers, but adults in their 40's who could remember those crazy years, and were amused by the reality and awareness of the show.
In 2007, Kunis accepted the starring role opposite Rutger Hauer in the comedy "Moving McAllister" (2007), where an ambitious law intern from Miami with four days until the Bar Exam, and desperate to win over his boss McAllister, commits to a favor he can't afford and ends up in a rundown truck headed to Los Angeles with his boss's belongings, his Hollywood bound niece, and her pet pig. She was then cast as the lead character in the 2007 thriller "Boot Camp", about a group of delinquent young teens who are sent to a what they think is a rehabilitation program on Fiji, but find it is actually a prison-like camp where kids are mistreated and brainwashed. While not a critical success, it showed Hollywood that the actress could carry a movie on her own. Her status as a celebrity was firmly cemented and Hollywood wanted more. Audiences got there wish in 2008 when she took the role of Rachel in the romantic comedy "Forgetting Sarah Marshall", with Jason Segel, Kristen Bell and Bill Hader, where a devastated Peter takes a Hawaii vacation in order to deal with the recent break-up with his sexy television star girlfriend, Sarah. But little does he know Sarah's traveling to the same resort as her ex ... and she's bringing along her new boyfriend.
The following year Mila starred with Mark Wahlberg and Chris O'Donnell in the John Moore directed crime thriller "Max Payne" (2008), where solving a series of murders in New York City are a DEA agent whose family was slain as part of a conspiracy, and a ruthless assassin who are out to seek revenge for her sister's death and are hunted by the police, the mob, and a ruthless corrupt corporation. She wrapped her year starring with Jason Bateman in the comedy "Extract" (2009), a comedy that follows the personal and professional problems endured by the owner of a flower-extract plant. Kunis continues to receive moderate tabloid coverage for her ongoing romance with former child star, Macaulay Culkin. The couple has been an item for several years but are rarely seen together in public. Watch Mila Kunis In The New "Max Payne" Movie Trailer
