Real Name: Ed Westwick
Birthday: June 27, 1987

Biography And Filmography:

Young British actor Ed Westwick was first seen by American television audiences in his starring role as Chuck Bass in the CW's popular teen drama “Gossip Girl”, also starring Blake Lively and Chace Crawford.

Born on June 27, 1987 in Hertfordshire, England, he started his show business career with the National Youth Theater in London. Westwick's  first television role came in the form of Holden Edwards on the popular British soap opera drama "Doctors" in 2006, and then in one episode on another popular British drama “Casualty”.

Westwick's first United States big-screen appearance was in the romantic thriller “Breaking and Entering” (2006), also starring Jude Law, where a Landscape Architect's dealings with a young thief cause him to re-evaluate his life. He was then cast in a small role for the sci-fi thriller “Children of Men” (2006), set in 2027, in a disorganized world in which humans can no longer produce offspring, and an activist agrees to help transport a pregnant woman to a sanctuary at sea, where her child's birth may help scientists save the future of humanity.

He then had another small role in the short-lived television series "Afterlife" (2006), about a University teacher who becomes involved in a series of supernatural events surrounding a spiritual medium. He then tried his hand at humor in another bit role in the comedy "Son Of Rambow" (2007), set in the early 80's, about friendship, faith and the weird business of growing up. But he was about to get the role of a lifetime, a role that would shoot him into the status of sexy celebrity teen idol.

That career-making role was on the smash hit teen dramatic comedy “Gossip Girl” (2007), where the actor portrayed young bad boy, and suave ladies man Chuck Bass, opposite Blake Lively and Chace Crawford. "Gossip Girl" is based on the popular teen novel series focusing on the sexy adventures of New York City’s wealthy private school environment.

With the success of "Gossip Girl", the young actor was now a true celebrity, and Hollywood wanted to see more of him. During production downtime on "Gossip Girl" he took a supporting role in the horror thriller movie "100 Feet" (2008), about a Marnie who kills her abusive husband in self-defense and is condemned to house arrest, only to find that the house is possessed by the angry and sadistic spirit of her dead husband.

Another sci-fi thriller followed with a supporting role in "S. Darko" (2009), a story that picks up seven years after the first film, when little sister Samantha Darko and her best friend Corey are now 18 years-old and on a road trip to Los Angeles when they are plagued by bizarre visions.
