Real Name: Jason Biggs
Birthday:

Biography, Filmography And Pictures:

Jason Biggs was born on May 12, 1978, in Pompton Plains, New Jersey to Gary, a delivery company manager, and Angela, a nurse. He also has two sisters, Heather, a tax accountant born in 1971, and Chiara born in 1980. While he is best known for his role as Jim Levenstein in the "American Pie" franchise of movies, he actually started acting at the age of five by appearing in several national television commercials. It was not until Biggs was thirteen that his Hollywood career started to gain traction.

Jason got his first lucky break with a small role in the movie "The Boy Who Cried Bitch" (1991), about a psychotic 12-year-old boy who makes life a living hell for his emotionally frail mother. While his role was a small one, it got him noticed by talent agents who convinced him to audition for the television sitcom "Drexell's Class" (1991) portraying Willie Trancas, a student of Dabney Coleman's character Otis Drexell, a highly popular stock broker and investor who finds himself in the job of a teacher at an elementary school. He appeared in fourteen episodes before the series was cancelled. But his role brought him needed attention and helped him win a role in the popular daytime soap opera "As The World Turns" (1994) as Pete Wendall.

After graduating from high school in 1996, he attended New York University and Montclair State University in New Jersey, but dropped out to focus on his acting career. He was then hired and cast in the small independent comedy film "Camp Stories" (1997) with Elliott Gould and Jerry Stiller, before returning to series television in the crime drama "Total Security" (1997) with James Belushi, about a high-tech security firm in Los Angeles involved with espionage, threats, investigations, and surveillance. Jason appeared in seven of the thirteen episodes before the show was cancelled. Another small role followed in the romantic comedy "Boys And Girls" (2000), where a friendship is put to the ultimate test when two best friends wind up in bed together.

In 2000, he took his first starring role working with Greg Kinnear and Dan Aykroyd in the comedy "Loser" (2000) portraying Paul Tannek, a college student branded a loser by his roommates and booted from the dorm, who then falls in love with a coed who has eyes for their professor. He then took the high-profile supporting role of Darren in the comedy "Saving Silverman" (2000) with Jack Black and Amanda Peet, where a pair of buddies conspire to save their best friend from marrying the wrong woman.

But the big Hollywood break for the actor came in the role of Jim Levenstein in the romantic comedy "American Pie" (2000), about four teenage boys who enter a pact to lose their virginity by prom night. The movie was a runaway cult hit and was nominated for a MTV Movie Award, Teen Choice Award, and he was nominated for a Blockbuster Entertainment Award for Favorite Actor - Newcomer. He also reprised his role in the equally successful sequel "American Pie 2" (2001), that continued the lewd adventures of the group of friends reuniting after their first year of college. The third sequel "American Wedding" was released in 2003, and dealt with the wedding of Jim and Michelle and the gathering of their families and friends, including Jim's old friends from high school and Michelle's little sister. Biggs was a full-blown Hollywood celebrity and movie star, and critics and audiences adored the actor.

The actor then starred with Christina Ricci and Anne Heche in the dramatic "Prozac Nation" (2001), about a young woman (Ricci) who struggles with depression during her first year at Harvard, and based on Elizabeth Wurtzel's novel. Another starring role opposite Woody Allen followed in the romantic comedy "Anything Else" (2003), a contemporary romantic comedy set in New York city about the relationship between an older guy (Woody Allen) and his younger protégé, where the older guy guides the younger through a messy and hilarious love story.

The actor then had the unfortunate opportunity to play the role of Arthur Brickman in the Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez disaster of a movie "Jersey Girl" (2004). The film was supposed to be a comedy but was an absolute embarrassment to Affleck, and he publicly acknowledged that the film was not the best work of his career. But Jason emerged unscathed and quickly moved on to his next project.

Regrettably, the actors next project was also a flop, portraying the starring role of Rudy in the comedy "Guy X" (2005), a black comedy set in 1979 about a soldier mistakenly posted to an Arctic military base. The critics panned the film, and audiences were scarce. His next project "The Pleasure Of Your Company" (2006) was also a loser, and he grew concerned that his initial success with "American Pie" was gone forever. He took a break from movie making to return to television in the role of Nick in the TV movie "I'm In Hell" (2007), about a young Wall Street hot shot who is killed in an auto accident and is sent back to earth to live without his worldly possessions. He also made a guest appearance on the series ""Will & Grace" and "Frasier".

In 2008, he got his grove back, and appeared in three high-profile movies in a lead role. First was the comedy "Over Her Dead Body" (2008), with Eva Longoria Parker and Paul Rudd, where a ghost tries to sabotage her former boyfriend's current relationship with a psychic. He then starred as Dustin in the summer film "My Best Friend's Girl" (2008), with Dane Cook, Kate Hudson and  Alec Baldwin, the story of Tank (Dane Cook), who faces the ultimate test of friendship when his best friend hires him to take his ex-girlfriend (Kate Hudson) out on a lousy date in order to make her realize how great her former boyfriend is.

Biggs wrapped his year in the funny "Lower Learning" (2008), where Barry Goldwater Elementary School is on the brink of collapse, with the lowest test scores in the state, and teachers who are either drunk or having sex on school grounds, and a principal who extorts money from parents. Tom, the down-on-his-luck vice-principal, must rally the lazy teachers, expose the principal's corruption, and turn the school around before an end of the day board decision that is certain to lead to the schools closure.
